Sarah grew up in the small town of Maroa, Illinois. While in college, Sarah became involved in ROTC and left college early to enlist in the United States Army Reserve as a Technical Drafting Specialist. After receiving her military training, Sarah began work as a draftsman for an engineering firm. Based on her skill and attention to detail, Sarah progressed through increasingly challenging roles until she reached the point where she could progress no further without completing her undergraduate degree, at which time Sarah returned to school to complete her undergraduate degree.
While completing her undergraduate degree in Industrial Technology from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale, Sarah contemplated what she wanted to achieve by obtaining a degree. Based on her work in Engineering and her life experience, she determined that she wanted to do work that made a difference in people’s lives by helping them protect their assets through estate planning, business formation, intellectual property protection, and contract negotiation and documentation. Accordingly, Sarah enrolled in and attended Loyola University Chicago School of Law while continuing to work fulltime in Engineering.
Sarah graduated cum laude from Loyola. While at Loyola, Sarah was a Chicago Intellectual Property Colloquium Fellow and a member of Phi Delta Phi Legal Honor Society.
Sarah lives in Forsyth, Illinois with her husband Butch, two of their four sons, and two Labradoodles. When not pursuing her passion of protecting the interests of her clients, Sarah enjoys painting, sports photography, attending her youngest son’s baseball games, and attending Fighting Illini football and basketball games.
